DJI DRONES SPYING ON U.S. GOVERNMENT / by HYLIO ADMIN

US Officials say DJI is "Likely Providing U.S. Critical Infrastructure and Law Enforcement Data to Chinese Government". DJI is the world's largest drone manufacturer. The company put out a statement earlier this month contesting the allegations. In the past there has been a lack of great American UAS providers, leaving a hole for DJI to seize an unsafe and disproportionate market share. DJI controls a two-thirds share of the market in the United States and Canada, according to Skylogic Research. In a memo published this August, officials state that they "further assess with high confidence the company is selectively targeting government and privately owned entities ... to expand its ability to collect and exploit sensitive U.S. data". Emerging drone companies, such as Hylio, are quickly penetrating the market and showing the United States public that drones are one of the many products where it pays to buy American.
